Lithuania, Ukraine and Kazakhstan as a modern format of progressive cooperation

30.09.2020

During the VII Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum, which was hosted by Ukraine (Kherson) on September 25, 2020, a cooperation agreement was signed, which opens a new page in the modern multifaceted format of cooperation between the representatives of Lithuania, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

This agreement was signed by the rectors of Kherson and Lithuanian Maritime Academies (Vasyl Cherniavskyi and Vaclav Stankevic), Director of the Science Park of Kherson State Maritime Academy "Maritime Industry Innovations" Alena Leshchenko and General Director of the modern seaport Kuryk (Kazakhstan) Serik Akhmetov.

This agreement has not only combined education, science and practice, powerful educational institutions of the EU Lithuania and the Eastern Partnership country Ukraine with one of the main seaports on the eastern shores of the Caspian Sea – Port Kuryk, but has also formed a practical group to ensure effective development.

The mentioned event once again demonstrates the progressive actions of the Parties that have signed this agreement. In particular it concerns General Director of the seaport Kuryk Serik Akhmetov, who created additional opportunities for development, having received an effective instrument for operational and practical use of modern scientific developments by Port Kuryk and also raising the professional level of port personnel. It is no coincidence that based on the decision of the international team of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum, Serik Akhmetov was awarded the Order of Efficiency as a modern and progressive leader.
