MODERN TECHNOLOGIES IN SHIPBUILDING AND SUPPORTED TURKMENISTAN INITIATIVE

On March 11, on the basis of Kherson State Maritime Academy there was a round table devoted to the topic "Application of polymer composites for increasing the economic efficiency of vehicles as an element of technological breakthrough of Ukraine". The organizer of the event, in addition to academy, was the National Institute for Strategic Studies. Volodymyr Makukha, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum, took part in the round table.

Representatives of shipbuilding companies and scientists from Kherson and Mykolayiv discussed the importance of practical application of modern scientific developments in shipbuilding. The Science Park of Kherson State Maritime Academy presented the results of some of its developments, as a result of which new composite materials and coatings, based on them, were created, that can be considered a scientific breakthrough. It is already ready for implementation at shipbuilding and ship repair plants in order to increase the anti-corrosion characteristics and wear resistance of technological equipment and to counteract the corrosion destruction of the ship's hull. In addition, these scientific developments can be implemented in the chemical, gas, oil refining, radar and mechanical engineering industries.

During the round table, the Vice-Rector of Kherson State Maritime Academy Oleksandr Shumei noted the possibility of using the international communication platform of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum.

The 7th forum, which started last year, will be continued this year with the participation of high-powered delegation from Turkmenistan. Deputy Chairman of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum Volodymyr Makukha during his speech noted,

«Turkmenistan is actively and purposefully implementing the strategy of international cooperation set by the President, dear Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, in particular, effectively developing country from the eastern shores of the Caspian Sea to the shores of the Baltic Sea. During the online conference, that took place on February 23 this year with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, among many appropriate and timely proposals from Turkmenistan, it was proposed to develop cooperation in shipbuilding. using the potential of the shipyard "Balkan". This initiative of partners from Turkmenistan was supported by Kherson shipbuilders, who expressed their readiness to discuss it substantively during the continuation of the VII Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum. This initiative of our friends and partners from the shores of the Caspian Sea should also be supported by the corresponding development of cooperation in the field of science and implementation of modern scientific developments, in particular developments of the science park of the Kherson State Maritime Academy».
