AWARDING OF THE ORDER "FOR EFFICIENCY" IN VILNIUS
On May 12, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania hosted awards ceremonies with the International Order "For Efficiency" of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum. The awards were presented by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Volodymyr Yatsenkivsky (pictured second from right) and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Gvidas Kerushauskas (pictured first from right).
This high award was presented to Mayor of Klaipeda Vytautas Grubliauskas (pictured second from left) and former Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine Marius Janukonis (pictured first from left).
During the award ceremony, there was noted extremely important and effective work, which has already been done and continues to be done by the Mayor of Klaipeda Vytautas Grubliauskas. His systematic and purposeful work contributed to the formation of strong international partnership triangle of enterprises, institutions and organizations of Klaipeda and Klaipeda district (Lithuania), Gdynia and Pomeranian Voivodeship (Poland), Kherson and Kherson region (Ukraine). This partnership triangle, similar to the "Lublin triangle" initiated by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine, was called the "Gdynia Triangle" and became an effective platform for the practical implementation of interstate initiatives. Thanks to Mr. Vytautas and his initiatives, the city of Klaipeda has become one of the main cities where the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum is held, and the projects presented at its sites are being effectively implemented. As an example, there was given the project of building a plant for the production of electric buses, presented in Klaipeda during the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum. Less than two years after that presentation during the forum, the first electric bus left the shop of the Klaipeda plant. It is no coincidence that Vytautas Grubliauskas was one of the first to be nominated for the International Order "For Efficiency", and together with this high award, he received a certificate of award for №3.
There was highly appreciated the work carried out by Marius Janukonis as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine. His term was during one of the most difficult times for Ukraine. Thanks to Mr. Marius, his determination and perseverance, partnerships from enterprises, institutions and organizations to settlements of different status of Lithuania and Ukraine were effectively strengthened and developed, the foundation of economic security from the Lithuanian Baltic shores to the Ukrainian Black Sea shores was formed and strengthened.
