Kherson – the way to the strategic strengthening of its maritime status

Signing of Memorandums of cooperation between Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum, Kherson State Maritime Academy, Scientific Park “Innovations in the maritime industry” and State Institute of Strategic Researches was held at Kherson State Maritime Academy on 29th of May.

Thus partnership of parties was formalized. Partnership directed to creation in the region foresight platform and effective implementation of projects “Development of International Corridor of Effective Cooperation” and creation of a single international logistics center «Global Multimodal Logistics» which were initiated on the basis of Baltic Black Sea Economic Forum.

Board member of Baltic Black Sea Economic Forum Mr. Sergiy Orekhov noted that the event at Kherson State Maritime Academy became the next step of development between organizations. Joint work of Academy, its scientific park and the Forum on development of Corridor of cooperation with maritime academied of Lithuania, Poland, Georgia, Kazakhstan creates powerful scientific basis for ensuring effective implementation of projects for interregional and international cooperation. Assuring of new modern approaches in transport logistics, using of new methodologies and modern approaches in preparation of needed personnel, effective international cooperation - are only a part of that effect which we are not only waiting for but have it on first stages. Staff of the State Institute of Strategic Researches hold out the project of creation of international corridor of effective cooperation as a project which is recommended as priority for State Policy of Ukraine. Mr. Orekhov added that analytical conclusions of the Institute’s staff show the importance of our partnership work and union of efforts of all parties for its effective implementation.
