Chairman of the Board “TransFor Group” Giorgi Mchedlishvili shared his expectations from the results of the VII Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum to be held this year in Ukraine (Kherson):

“The first half of this year has changed the world due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the existing new realities, one needs new approaches and solutions in transport and logistics, especially in the sector of multimodal international transportation. The possibility of remote process control, the importance of having a reliable network of partners, the flexibility and efficiency of interaction between them are reaching a higher level of significance.

When the preparatory work for the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum was begun last year, we all understood its importance. But no one could even imagine that the importance of the forthcoming meeting and the discussions on joint action plans being prepared will become so high.
For the first time there will be a meeting of all participants in the project on establishing a corridor for effective cooperation from Europe and Asia, from the Baltic to the Caspian eastern shores. Subject discussions are coming. We will need to adjust our joint actions, develop new approaches to solving transport and logistics problems in the face of new realities. We already see how our partners from Kazakhstan (port Kuryk) and Turkmenistan (Turkmen Milli Logistik) have begun to effectively work out new mechanisms for cooperation on the Caspian Sea. As our company has a representative office in the Caspian Sea, Baku, we are also ready to join this process and, in addition, to undertake the provision of a link between the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea. Considering the positive experience of our partners in the Caspian, it is necessary to use, develop and supplement it with new non-standard joint solutions on the Black Sea shores”.
