MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION SIGNED WITH THE UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION FOR BEEKEEPING DEVELOPMENT AND HONEY EXPORT

04.06.2020

Today (June 4, 2020) a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum and the Ukrainian Association for Beekeeping Development and Honey Export. On behalf of the forum, the memorandum was signed by Deputy Chairman of the Board Volodymyr Makukha, on behalf of the association — by its Head Natalia Yavorska.

The signed document, in particular, confirms the parties’ intentions to promote the production of high-quality natural honey and enhance the image of Ukraine as a reliable supplier of this product under the conditions of market turbulence.

As noted by Natalia Yavorska, Head of the Ukrainian Association for the Beekeeping Development and Honey Export, Ph.D. in Economics:

“Cooperation with the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum provides all actors of beekeeping industry of Ukraine with additional, very powerful communication opportunities for dialogue and cooperation with our colleagues and partners in other countries,  as well as provides more favorable conditions for constructive cooperation between honey producers and exporters to increase Ukraine's export potential on mutually beneficial conditions.

There are a lot of problematic issues in our industry, and they all need effective, systematic, consolidated actions and solutions. Our Association and its members set very ambitious goals: not only to maintain the position of one of the world’s leaders in the production of natural honey, but also to increase exports by expanding the sales geography of Ukrainian honey. That is why we consider the creation and implementation of joint projects with our foreign partners as the foundation of further transformations in the field of beekeeping”.
