DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION PORT OF GDYNIA AUTHORITY S.A. MACIEJ KRZESINSKI WILL BE ONE OF THE PARTICIPANTS IN THE DISCUSSIONS AT THE VII BALTIC-BLACK SEA ECONOMIC FORUM

Maciej Krzesinski - Director of Marketing and International Cooperation at the Port of Gdynia. Project manager of the significant investment in the Pomeranian District, the Outer Port.

He is an experienced manager in the field of comprehensive project management and acceleration of innovative solutions for the maritime industry. He participated in initiatives supporting the SME sector and cooperated with corporations as part of startup projects. In March this year appointed as the vice-chairman of the Council of Intelligent Specialization of Pomerania in the field of offshore as well as port and logistics technologies.

A graduate of the University of Gdańsk at the Faculty of Management, the Department of Economics and Organization of Enterprises and the Department of Investment and Real Estate in Sopot.

Recently Maciej Krzesiński was appointed as a member of the BPO for a two-year term during the general meeting of the Baltic Port Organization in Stockholm.

The adoption of the Act of 23 September 1922 on the construction of the port of Gdynia by the Polish Parliament is considered the formal beginning of the port of Gdynia.

The Port of Gdynia is currently a modern and universal port that specializes in handling general cargoes, mainly unitized cargoes transported in containers and in the ro-ro system. These services are provided through a network of multimodal transport connections with the hinterland and through short sea shipping and ferry connections.

In the first quarter of 2020 the Port of Gdynia was the only Polish port to maintain an upward trend. By the end of April, more than 8.26 million tonnes were handled in Gdynia, which gives a growth rate of 102.3 percent year on year.

The upward trend in the Port of Gdynia is a continuation of its successes of 2019, which was another consecutive year with a record in cargo handling. The total amount of handled goods exceeded 24 million tonnes.

Noting the importance of the VII Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum to be hosted by Ukraine (Kherson) this year, Maciej Krzesiński, Director of Marketing and International Cooperation at the Port of Gdynia, said in particular:

«We need to discuss the possibility of enhancing cooperation  adjust plans with our partners in the project on establishing a corridor of effective cooperation from the Baltic  to the Caspian coast».
