UKRAINIAN DIPLOMACY AS A COURSE TO REALIZE THE COUNTRY'S POTENTIAL FOR ENSURING LEADERSHIP IN THE FORMATION OF JOINT DECISION PLANS

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar is one of the speakers at thе VII Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum

Vasyl Bodnar – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine since 2017. He has been in diplomatic work since 1998 in various positions, including: First Secretary, Counselor of the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland (2006-2010); Consul General of Ukraine in Istanbul (2015-2017); representative of Ukraine to the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (2016-2017).

Having a well-deserved authority both among colleagues – Ukrainian diplomats, and among representatives of other countries’ diplomatic corps, Vasyl Bodnar can be referred to the category of the new generation of Ukrainian diplomacy.

The difficult situation the world is facing this year, the challenges and risks of the prolonged economic crisis are the problems that have no borders and require systemic and joint solutions and actions. A significant burden of this work falls on the shoulders of the diplomatic corps.

Emphasizing the importance of holding substantive discussions at the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum hosted by Ukraine (Kherson) this year and realizing the need to lay the next bricks in the foundation of developing new recipes of European-Asian joint actions to form a reliable belt of economic stability, Vasyl Bodnar in particular said:

"Ukraine has all the necessary potential to play a leading role in strengthening economic cooperation in the Black Sea region as well as enhancing interaction with the Baltic and Caspian regions. To this end, we support the development of multilateral business ties, intensify public-private partnership within BSEC and GUAM and establish new formats, such as the Lublin Triangle".
