At the end of the past week (September 4), Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum Volodymyr Makukha met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Darhan Amanuly Kaletaev (pictured left).

During the meeting, the progress of the international project on establishing  a corridor of effective cooperation from the shores of the Baltic Sea to the eastern shores of the Caspian Sea was discussed. It is the project, which was initiated on the sites of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum, and one of the basic partners of which is the modern Kazakh seaport Kuryk. In particular, emphasis was placed on the efficient work of the team of General Director of the Port, Serik Akhmetov, who, thanks to timely non-standard solutions and coordinated joint actions with partners from Turkmenistan (Turkmen Milli Logistik) solve complex problems of cargo movement under existing quarantine restrictions.

The course of preparations for the VII Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum, which will be soon hosted by Ukraine (Kherson), and the participation of the Ambassador in its work were discussed separately. Actions aimed at facilitating the participation of forum delegates from Kazakhstan and allowing them to enter the territory of Ukraine have been agreed upon.
