Already in the first years of its existence the Forum has become one of the most effective platforms for initiating and supporting joint projects in various fields across territories of the Baltic and Black Sea countries. The consolidation of the partnership format of a joint, turn-based holding in the Ukrainian city of Kherson and the Lithuanian city of Klaipeda has significantly increased the level and quality of the projects being submitted to the discussion, greatly expanded the list of strategic development issues that are being submitted for consideration. The opportunity for the participants of the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum to discuss the joint projects on its Lithuanian and Ukrainian venues significantly minimizes the risks of making unreasonable decisions, promotes their qualitative preparation and shortens the transition to the stage of practical implementation. Thanks to the opportunities offered by the forum's platforms, a project to create a corridor of multi-faceted cooperation from the Baltic Klaipeda through the territory of Belarus to the Ukrainian Kherson and further through the Black Sea to the port city of Trabzon in Turkey, the territory of Georgia and Azerbaijan to the port of Baku on the Caspian Sea was initiated. Experts from a number of countries have already recognized this project as having a geopolitical significance not only for the regions and countries of the Baltic and Black Sea basins through which it will pass, but for other countries of Europe and Asia. This project became not only a demonstration of the existing opportunities of forum venues for the effective initiation of such large-scale projects, but also became an additional catalyst for the preparation and introduction of joint initiatives and strategic development issues in various fields. This is not only the implementation of the experience of reforming and developing the port of Klaipeda when preparing a project for implementing a similar model of public-private partnership on reforming and developing the Kherson ICP, but also discussing the world experience of strategic planning of cities development and its use by the municipal authorities of Klaipeda, the initiative to create a single international logistics center, consideration of issues related to modern trends of sports development both professional and mass, many others projects and topical issues. Due to the Baltic-Black Sea Economic Forum not only cooperation between the cities of Kherson and Klaipeda has been developing actively and in various fields but by signing a large-scale agreement cooperation between the cities of Kherson (Ukraine) and Batumi (Georgia) was launched. It was the platform of the forum that witnessed the historic event for Lithuania and Ukraine: for the first time an agreement on partnership between settlements was signed for two countries the Ukrainian village Muzykivka and Lithuanian city Dusetos.
